Pick up the following day at 11:30 AM. Your coating is cured enough for normal driving and rain, and it will continue to harden afterward. We walk you through aftercare and applicable warranty paperwork.

Maintenance-product fit
Because DuraSlic Xtreme is strongly oleophobic, conventional spray waxes and many topper products are not a good match. The coating can reject incompatible products and they may streak. Hawaii's Climate Is Tough on Vehicle Paint
Volcanic emissions from Hawaiʻi Island can create vog and acidic sulfate particles that may affect Oʻahu depending on wind and weather conditions. Combined with salt air, strong UV exposure, hard water, and outdoor contamination, Hawaii vehicles face conditions that can accelerate paint deterioration.
Ceramic coating adds a sacrificial protective layer over the factory clear coat and can make environmental contamination easier to maintain, but it does not make paint immune to water spots, acidic exposure, or other damage.

A visit around every four months may be appropriate when light water spots, fallout, rough-feeling paint, overspray, or other contamination appears. Home washing is as needed based on use and exposure.

About the Studio
Built on More Than Four Decades of Hawaii Automotive Knowledge
I'm Kolu — born and raised on Oahu. My father founded ACS. CAA is backed by more than four decades of Hawaii automotive-care knowledge through Auto Chem Systems Hawaii, the state's largest wholesale warehouse for professional detailing supplies and automotive-care products. ACS supplies products and training to more than 80% of Hawaii's dealerships, detail shops, body shops, and related automotive-care businesses.
I've been part of that operation since the beginning — developing and testing proper cleaning chemistry for Hawaii's specific environment, working directly with chemists at major manufacturers, and providing real-world feedback before products ever go to market. From industrial fallout removers to ceramic coatings, I've had a hand in how these products perform in our climate.
I spent five years at Shiroma's Autobody learning paint and panel work from the ground up. I've owned my own autobody and paint shop. I've run a car wash. For more than a decade, I've built Custom Auto Accessories around one goal — give every vehicle the level of preparation and protection it actually deserves.
My favorite moment is still the same as day one: watching a customer see their vehicle when they come to pick it up.

How long does a ceramic coating take?
Drop off at 9:30 AM, pick up the following day at 11:30 AM. Vehicles needing extra paint correction may take longer — we will let you know upfront. All services are by appointment only.
Do I need to do anything before dropping off?
Nothing at all. Just bring your vehicle in — we handle the full decontamination wash, clay bar, paint inspection, and correction if needed. All prep is included.
Does ceramic coating prevent water spots?
No coating completely prevents water spots. Ceramic coating creates a highly hydrophobic protective surface that helps water bead and shed more easily, but hard water still needs to be dried before minerals build up.
Do you offer discounts for multiple vehicles?
Booking multiple vehicles? Save $100 on the second vehicle and $150 on each additional vehicle when booked together.
Is the shop enclosed and climate controlled?
Yes. Every coating is applied indoors in a clean, enclosed, climate-controlled environment — no wind, dust, or direct sun during application.
